Overview
Cardstock is a browser extension that monitors product availability at retail websites and notifies you when items come back in stock.
The short version: Use the service in good faith. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't guarantee perfect uptime or that you'll catch every restock. Don't abuse the service or use it for reselling at scale.
What We Provide
Cardstock monitors product pages at supported retailers and sends you browser notifications when items become available. That's it. We don't:
- Automatically purchase products for you
- Guarantee you'll be able to buy any product
- Guarantee alerts will arrive before items sell out
- Have any relationship with the retailers we monitor
No Guarantees
The service is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about:
- Accuracy - Stock information comes from retailer websites and may occasionally be wrong
- Uptime - The service may be unavailable for maintenance or due to technical issues
- Timeliness - Alerts may be delayed. High-demand items often sell out in seconds
- Completeness - We may not monitor every product or retailer you care about
If you miss a restock or receive a false alert, that's unfortunate but not something we can be held responsible for.
Acceptable Use
Please use Cardstock responsibly:
- Personal use - This service is for personal shoppers, not commercial reselling operations
- One account per person - Don't create multiple accounts to gain an advantage
- No automation - Don't use bots or scripts to interact with the service
- No abuse - Don't attempt to overload our servers or circumvent rate limits
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
Account Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Common reasons include:
- Violation of these terms
- Abuse of the service
- Suspected bot or automation usage
- Any behavior that degrades the service for other users
You can also delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Service Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We may add or remove features, change which retailers we support, or shut down entirely. We'll try to give notice when possible, but sometimes that's not feasible.
Intellectual Property
Product names, images, and pricing information displayed in alerts belong to their respective retailers. We display this information to help you make purchasing decisions.
The Cardstock extension, website, and service are our property. Please don't copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute them.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. This includes:
- Missing a product restock
- Purchasing a product based on incorrect information
- Service outages or downtime
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
